My favourite part! I stayed 2 nights in Tuktoyaktuk and went outside both nights at midnight to see the sun and wandered over to the Arctic Ocean sign many times.
The End Of The Road ~ Arctic Ocean Sign
The sign used to be one sign that said “Arctic Ocean”. Another sign has been added below it that says “Nunaryuam Qaangani Tariuq” which is the Inuvialuktun translation of Arctic Ocean. It directly translates to “Ocean at the Top of the World” and Tariuq means sea or ocean in Inuvialuktun.
This was a Bucket List item for me! I have now been to all 5 Oceans ~ Atlantic, Pacific, Indian, Arctic, and Antarctic (aka Southern).

The back of the sign!

I love these signs everywhere I see one!

The Midnight Sun
It was cloudy!
