During my week long stay on Isle of Skye, I rented a wonderful apartment that is in the wing of the larger “Peinmore House” just a short 5 minute drive outside of Portree and centrally located in Isle of Skye.
Peinmore House is a 19th century house that was once a manse built in 1809. A manse is a clergy house and the vicar used to live there.

I arrived and there was a lovely bottle of Sauvignon Blanc awaiting me. I’ve had a liking for Sauvignon Blanc since the Windstar cruise and it was a welcome sight.
The apartment had a piano, books, washer & dryer, massive bathroom and a lovely garden to stroll in. I spent my days sightseeing, cooking, watching TV shows like Quincy, taking bubble baths and reading.
Peinmore House is beautiful and the courtyard is very welcoming.
The garden is lovely and I took a stroll a few times enjoying the solitude and the crisp air.
I highly recommend staying here if you visit Isle of Skye. Folks were helpful and friendly. The weather during my stay was foggy and grey and I plan to return someday in the summer.
