Hello Vancouver! It’s been many years since I strolled through your streets and I was looking forward to this experience for many months. The purpose of the trip was The Rolling Stones Hackey Diamonds Tour and it was amazing! I also wanted to see the Capilano Suspension Bridge after seeing hundreds of pictures grace my social media over the years.
Vancouver is a well known Canadian city located on the west coast of Canada in the province of British Columbia. It is a seaport city, ethnically diverse and known as “Hollywood North” because of the film production studios located there. Forestry and tourism are the two major industries and my travelling experience has been that Vancouver is a city known of by all when I mention I’m from Canada. The 2010 Winter Olympics were held in Vancouver and who can forget Sidney Crosby’s overtime winning goal in the gold medal final between Canada and USA. The puck is now in the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.

JW Marriott Parq Vancouver
The JW Marriott Parq Vancouver is a luxury waterfront hotel located next to BC Place with amazing views! I’m a points gal so a Marriott it was (unless I’m after a specific hotel) and the location was perfect for the concert.
Capilano Suspension Bridge Park
I’ve wanted to walk across the Capilano Suspension Bridge for a long time and have seen hundreds of pictures on social media. This trip I decided that I must do it. A quick ride from downtown and I was there. A day ticket for an adult was $71.95 CAD. Wow! I stayed a bit longer than planned and walked the Suspension Bridge, did the Treetops Adventure and the Cliffwalk. I stopped at The Cabin and had a Chai Tea Latte and Otter Balls. It’s a fabulous spot to spend the day with the family.
Capilano Suspension Bridge Park
The Suspension Bridge is 450 feet long and 230 feet above the Capilano River. It was wobbly!
The Treetops Adventure is seven suspension bridges and platforms providing great views of the rainforest. Check out the swing!
The Cliffwalk is a cantilevered walkway attached to the granite above the Capilano Canyon.

Granville Island
Granville Island used to be an industrial area and was revamped and now includes a public market, restaurants and studios. False Creek Ferries was used for water transportation from the hotel area to the island.

The Rolling Stones Hackney Diamonds 2024 Tour
Hello Mick, Keith and Ronnie! You still got it! It’s amazing that they’ve been playing since 1962 and Hackney Diamonds is their 24th studio album! We were in section A3, row 19 on the floor.
