Vaduz is the capital of Liechtenstein and the prettiest place I’ve been.  Liechtenstein is the world’s wealthiest country and is landlocked between Switzerland and Austria.  There are ~ 5,500 residents in Vaduz.  Liechtenstein has mountains, vineyards, hiking and castles!  I was in heaven.

I booked a room at the Landhaus am Giessen because it had a view of the castle.  The room and location were perfect and breakfast was included.  The views of the cathedral, the castle and the mountains from my room were amazing.  Highly recommend this hotel.  For breakfast, each room has their own table with the room number.  Little touches.  The ladies that work here were very nice to me.

I had the best views of Vaduz Cathedral and Vaduz Castle.  Vaduz Castle is the official residence of the Prince of Liechtenstein.

A Wine Tasting!  I had a great (and slightly vague now) afternoon at The Princely Wine Cellar of the Prince of Liechtenstein.  This wine is really, really good.

I went hiking (there are a lot of trails in this area) and I wandered through Vaduz.  Of course a chocolate ice cream was called for on a sweltering hot day.
